Educational Learning Center
Fullerton, CA
- John C. Maxwell
At the peak of quarantine during the COVID 19 pandemic, a few students and teachers began classes through Zoom. We met every day for 3 hours to learn, interact, and make use of what we have. Now, we are blessed to meet in person with a new curriculum and new system.
We aim to deliver a system that is exciting and, ultimately, fun for students. We believe that learning becomes exciting when instructors are able to prepare well-made lessons, incorporate much peer and teacher interaction, and honor each student as a valuable asset to the community.
The great American educator, Jaime Escalante, once said,
"If we expect kids to be losers, they will be losers; if we expect them to be winners, they will be winners. They rise, or fall, to the level of expectations of those around them."
We carry his philosophy to set high expectations but also provide a robust support system for each student to meet his or her highest potential.
Academic Advisor
Hidy started this academy through Zoom during the COVID 19 pandemic. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2019 with a B.A. in Educational Sciences and is finishing up her teaching credentials at Biola University. Her passion is to teach students outside of the school setting. She taught at Eastside Christian School and worked in the academy field for five years throughout college and post-grad teaching. After seeing hundreds of students on a daily basis, she has found that teaching in a school was limiting to her abilities and desires in teaching. Her goal is to start a homeschooling program that is authentic, effective, and well-rounded with a select group of students.

We pick up students from school, bring them to the academy, give them snack/meal, and start class. The first portion of the time is dedicated to our lectures. The last hour is dedicated to studying for tests and school homework.
We open on all non-school days and most holidays. During winter and summer break, we utilize the extra time to do lectures and lessons we could not do during the school year.
We are charging $750 a month for each student.
Our priorities in pricing are as follows:
1. To keep a small teacher to student ratio.
Our space is not huge and has very limited number of seats. We are limiting the number of students that are able to enroll. Ultimately, the goal is to select few and raise them to be leaders that outshine the others around them by offering concentrated attention and care over them.
2. To offer courses and instructors that are above average.
We want to hire staff that are well-qualified, hardworking, and long lasting. We have special courses such as speech and debate, coding, and writing workshops from staff in the professional field with high specs. In the long run, it is an investment to provide only the best for our students here at Leaders Academy.
Yes, we offer sibling discounts. We give 10% off for the next child.
Every student has unique needs for support. Tell us more about what you are hoping a tutor can do for you, and we will start on a plan to help you get what you need.
