One of the biggest prides of our academy is our well-qualified, emotionally intelligent, and faithful staff. We are a group of individuals who are passionate to see children grow to their fullest potential. This tightly-knitted community runs on the backbone of our teachers loving and caring for one another and, in overflow, the love and care generates to the students.

Owner

Hidy started this academy through Zoom during the COVID 19 pandemic. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2019 with a B.A. in Educational Sciences and is finishing up her teaching credentials at Biola University. Her passion is to teach students outside of the school setting. She taught at Eastside Christian School and worked in the academy field for five years throughout college and post-grad teaching. After seeing hundreds of students on a daily basis, she has found that teaching in a school was limiting to her abilities and desires in teaching. Her goal is to start a homeschooling program that is authentic, effective, and well-rounded with a select group of students.

Teacher

Audrey joined Leaders Academy staff in the very beginning of first opening. Summer of 2021, Leaders started our first program. Audrey is currently a freshman in college. She attends Cal State Fullerton with a major in Child Adolescent Studies. She takes care of our younger students ranging from Kindergarten to third grade. Her bright energy, positive encouragements, and fun attitude towards work have driven countless students to improve. Younger students are attracted to her fun vibe as she guides them through phonics and the basics of academics. Her ability to connect to abstract ideals of young students have won the hearts of many little ones here. 

Teacher

Katie joined Leaders Academy since the very beginning in summer of 2021. Katie graduated from NYU in 2021 with a major in Education. Her gentle spirit is unique as it drives students to calmly take on any challenge set before them. She is patient and highly skilled to work with even the toughest students. Katie is a teacher who is always well-prepared. She plans each day and every minute with precision and care. However, she is flexible to adjust to individual students’ needs. We are grateful to have Katie as part of our staff, and we are continuously witnessing her talents shine through her and her students.
